Cloudways, the managed cloud hosting platform owned by DigitalOcean, has introduced Cloudways Site Manager, a new WordPress management solution developed to help agencies handle multiple websites from a single centralized platform.

The launch comes as digital agencies continue to manage larger and more demanding WordPress portfolios, where maintaining updates, security, uptime, and performance across numerous client sites can become increasingly time-consuming. According to Cloudways, more than half of its customers now oversee 16 or more websites, highlighting the growing operational complexity agencies face while scaling their services.

Cloudways Site Manager aims to simplify these workflows by bringing essential website management tasks into one integrated dashboard. The platform is designed to reduce reliance on disconnected third-party tools and manual processes, allowing agencies to manage site operations more efficiently from a unified environment.

The company revealed that interest in the solution has been significant during its early access phase, with over 15,000 applications submitted for the Public Preview program and more than 4,000 users already onboarded.

Developed in collaboration with BlogVault, the new system enables agencies to oversee WordPress updates, monitor website health, and maintain performance across multiple installations through a centralized interface. Features such as automated workflows, safe update deployment, and one-click rollback functionality are intended to minimize downtime and reduce the risk of failed updates.

Unlike many standalone WordPress management plugins, Site Manager is directly integrated within the Cloudways ecosystem. This native integration is designed to provide agencies with streamlined hosting and website management capabilities without introducing additional software complexity or performance limitations.

By automating repetitive maintenance tasks, Cloudways believes the platform can help agencies improve operational efficiency, speed up client delivery timelines, and dedicate more resources toward strategic growth initiatives and higher-value services.

Suhaib Zaheer, SVP of Managed Hosting at DigitalOcean and General Manager at Cloudways, said the increasing scale of website operations is pushing agencies to adopt more automated systems for infrastructure management.

He explained that Site Manager was created to reduce operational friction by centralizing workflows and automating key management tasks, enabling teams to spend less time maintaining infrastructure and more time focusing on client outcomes and business growth.

The introduction of Site Manager further expands Cloudways’ presence in the managed WordPress hosting sector, positioning the company to offer agencies a more consolidated approach to hosting and website administration.

Cloudways stated that Site Manager forms part of its broader strategy to simplify website operations through integrated automation and intelligent management tools, helping agencies scale website portfolios without significantly increasing operational overhead.
